The home-made £8 Lamborghin

A Chinese man has turned his Nissan Cefiro into a replica of the new Lamborghini Aventador.

Ha San, a hair salon owner from China, worked relentlessly for 12 days to convert the body of his 1995 budget Nissan to a (reasonably) accurate replica of Lamborghini's latest supercar.

He spent most of his time panel beating, to get the Aventador's sharp-edged lines just right.

So far, the project has cost Ha San a total of 90 Yuan - the equivalent to about £8.

That's quite a bit cheaper than a conventional Lamborghini Aventador, which costs £220,000 before tax.

Humble though it may be, the Nissan Cefiro is no slouch. It was never sold in the UK, but in overseas markets, the original A31 model was available with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine, also found in the Nissan Skyline of the time.

It pales into significance next to the Aventador, though. Powered by a 690bhp V12 engine, the Lamborghini is capable of 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217mph.

Even if you can afford one, Ha San's method is the only way to go about owning an Aventador (of sorts), as Lamborghini has already sold the first few years of production - and that's before the first car has even been built.
