50 Cent is set to produce and star in a new film Things Fall Apart. Production on the film will take place in Michigan with Mario Van Peebles attached to direct. Yes, that MVP.

The story is nothing we haven’t seen before. A running back in his senior year of college has a “come-to-Jesus moment.” Van Peebles and veteran actress Lynn Whitfield will star alongside Mr. Jackson.

50, who is known for his business prowess, is surely taking advantage of the huge TV/film production tax-breaks in Michigan, and more determined than ever to ‘Get Rich’ using the film game. 50 will produce the film with Randall Emmett, his Cheetah Vision Films production partner. The duo recently wrapped production of The Gun, which stars Val Kilmer and of course Mr. Jackson.
