Real Madrid Preparing Shock Double Swoop For Wayne Rooney And Fabio Capello - ReportReal Madrid are looking to shock the football world by making a run at Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and England boss Fabio Capello.

The Spanish giants will offer United £90million to get the English star to come to the Bernabeu and another £60m in salary over the next five years, according to The Sun.

Real are also looking to bring Capello back for a third stint with the club.

The Italian, who is under contract with the Three Lions until 2012, managed Real in 1996-97 and 2006-07, winning La Liga on both occasions.

If Rooney was to leave for Madrid it would not be the first time that United lost a star to Real president Florentino Perez as both David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo have left Old Trafford to play for ‘Los Merengues.’

Rooney has enjoyed the finest season of his career, scoring 34 goals this season.

Perez is keen to re-unite the 24-year-old, who has two years remaining in his current contract, with former United team-mate Ronaldo to form an even more devastating attacking force at Madrid.
