Janet Jackson Speaks On Behalf of Jackson Family
Singer Janet Jackson made a surprise guest appearance at the BET Awards last night. The visibly distraught singer came out to speak on behalf of her family in the wake of her brother’s sudden death. Michael Jackson died Thursday, after going into cardiac arrest while at his rented mansion in California. BET paid slight tribute to the star, with scattered musical performances and skits, and Janet ended the show with a short speech giving thanks to fans for their support.
Usher Makes Song About Tameka
Before the divorce from Tameka Foster Raymond has even been finalized, Usher’s creative juices are already flowing. The singer has recorded a song about his strained relationship, that has ended with him filing for divorce, and according to the song’s writer, Sean Garrett, it’s dang near prophetic. "Let's say I wrote a record for Usher three or four months ago where I really didn't have any idea of what he was going through personally,” Garrett told MTV. “I work really hard at creating records I feel that's gonna fit like a glove to an artist. Me and Usher have a close relationship; I tend to sort of assist certain artists in giving them a direction, where I think they need to go in their next move. I felt that was the direction we needed to go. I felt that was the question everyone wanted to know: Was [his relationship] good or was it bad? Was it right? Are you happy or you're not?"
Kelis’ Legal Team Tries to Push Up Divorce Hearing
Apparently, Kelis needs cash fast– but the judge is off on vacay. The singer is still begging for more baby money from her ex-lover Nas, to help buy a nanny and nursery furniture. But Nas refuses to give up the goods— more-than-likely because Kelis already reportedly makes six figures a year. The couple’s divorce hearing is set for July 21, and Kelis is looking for around $24,000. Her request for the hearing to be pushed up was denied.
